Florida Treatment Provider Guide
The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness is proud to present the first comprehensive comprehensive Florida Eating Disorders Resource Guide. It was created to provide access to care for those who are struggling with an eating disorder, and provide referrals to health care practitioners who are eating disorders specialists. In August 2010, 7,000 copies were sent to every school in Florida.
The Guide begins with information regarding the following eating disorders: Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder. The next section includes information for loved ones, what to expect from treatment, suggested reading, and a list of eating disorder organizations and websites. In the following section, you will find a directory of treatment practitioners throughout the state of Florida. Next you will find a list of Inpatient, Residential, Day/Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatients, and Transitional Living treatment programs throughout the country. The last section is information about The Guide’s sponsors.
