About Our Organization

In October of 2000, The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness (The Alliance) was created as a source of community outreach, education, awareness, and prevention of the various eating disorders currently plaguing our nation. Our aim is to share the message that recovery from these disorders is possible, and that individuals should not have to suffer or recover alone. We seek to educate individuals about the dangers of this epidemic and to reduce the rate and severity of eating disorders among people of all ages...

US Treatment Center Guide
The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness is proud to present the first comprehensive national referral guide of U.S. eating disorders treatment centers. The goal of The Guide is to provide access to care for those who are struggling with an eating disorder and provide referrals to treatment centers that specialize in eating disorders. Please feel free to make copies of the information included in The Guide for education, outreach, and/or to share with anyone who needs it.
