Leah Wypych, MPA 
Board Chair


Leah Wypych was born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida – a rare Florida native! Upon receiving her undergraduate degree from Florida State University, she returned back to her hometown of Palm Beach Gardens and earned her Master's Degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
Leah's goal has always been to help the community, particularly children and their families. That's the reason she chose to begin her career working in the child welfare system in 2001 helping children removed from their homes and placed in adoptive homes, foster homes, shelters, group homes and residential programs. Leah has worked for multiple non-profit agencies throughout her career, including Children's Home Society of Florida, the Area Agency on Aging, and Child and Family Connections.
Leah began her career in the psychiatric arena as the marketing coordinator at psychiatric residential treatment center serving children and adolescents.  She merged her career path with her passion for the field of eating disorders in August of 2015 by becoming a Clinical Outreach Representative for Center for Discovery.  Leah is proud to have been a part of the Alliance family since 2011.

Jamie Blosser Morris, MS, LMHC
Vice Chair


Jamie Blosser Morris, MS, LMHC serves as the Clinical Director of the Intensive Outpatient Program and Transitional Living Program at Oliver-Pyatt Centers. Ms. Morris received her bachelor's degree from Boston College, and her master's degree from the University of Miami. Ms. Morris's previous work experience includes the role of Senior Primary Therapist at Oliver-Pyatt Centers and Prevention Program Coordinator at the Hanley Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Ms. Morris holds her Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) Basic Training Certification and is also a Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health Counselor Interns.
Ms. Morris holds the position of Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness. She is an advocate with the Eating Disorders Coalition and participates in Lobby Day twice a year in Washington DC.
Ms. Morris is married to her wonderful husband, and enjoys paddle boarding and golfing on the weekend.

Lorraine Mari, Ph.D.


Dr. Lorraine Mari is a licensed Psychologist in New York State and Florida. She is a full time Florida resident residing on Singer Island.


Dr. Mari focused her professional career of over 30 years in schools on Long Island. She was the chief psychologist in the Kings Park School District, where she was responsible for psychological services at the preschool, elementary and secondary levels. In-service training of professional staff, parent education groups, and chairing committees for providing special educational services to school age and pre-school age children were among her responsibilities. She also maintained a private clinical practice working with children, adults and families.


Dr. Mari received her doctoral degree from Hofstra University. She has two sons, Andrew Schles and Jeffrey Schles.


Dr. Mari has been volunteering with The Alliance since December of 2010, co-leading weekly support groups, assisting with educational presentations, grant writing and fund raising.

Artie Fox



Artie Fox is a CPA with over thirty five years experience, servicing many wealthy individuals, small business, estates and trusts, as well as tax exempt foundations, through his business, Arthur Fox, CPA. He is a member of the AICPA and NYSCPA. Artie is married to Ellen and has two children, Justin and Brittany. Ellen is a Children's Librarian. Justin is a CPA and attorney and works with him at Arthur Fox, CPA. Brittany, after suffering from an eating disorder for the last ten years, is on the road to recovery and hopes to become an Elementary Education and Special Ed teacher.


Artie has been extensively involved in dealing with his daughter's treatment and has a very good understanding of Eating Disorders. Artie and Ellen have two homes, one in New York and one in Florida, where they divide their time. Artie is thrilled to be involved and a part of The Alliance.

Gillian Bush, PsyD
Dr. Gillian Bush is a licensed Florida Psychologist and has a private practice in Palm Beach Gardens. Dr. Bush treats individuals, couples and families and specializes in work with anxiety and eating disorders. 
Dr. Bush received her bachelor's degree from Boston College, a masters degree from Teacher's College, Columbia University and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency at The Renfrew Center of Coconut Creek, a residential treatment facility for adult and adolescent women diagnosed with eating disorders. 
Dr. Bush has been actively involved with the Alliance for years, co-leading one of their weekly co-ed support groups and volunteering at many of their events. Dr. Bush is passionate about community outreach and education, helping to increase education about eating disorders and mental health issues as well as demystifying the treatment process. 

Nicole Carlisi, LMHC


Nicole Carlisi is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring disorders. Nicole has extensive experience in the treatment of Anorexia, Bulimia, ARFID, OSFED, BED and Obesity. Additionally, Nicole has more than 14 years of experience in the residential addiction and eating disorder field.
Nicole received her Master's degree in counseling education from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. During her undergraduate studies, Nicole worked as a life skills facilitator and drug and alcohol counselor in the public and private school sector, focusing on drug and alcohol prevention and early intervention.She completed her practicum and internship training at the Hanley Center and continued on to work in long term residential treatment for patients with addiction and complex trauma. She continued to advance her career as eating disorder program director at an intensive outpatient center for women struggling with eating disorder and addiction. Additionally, Nicole served as clinical director for a partial hospitalization and transitional living eating disorder program for men and women struggling with eating disorders and addictive disorders. Nicole Carlisi has been an active volunteer and group facilitator at The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness in West Palm Beach, Florida and is a member of several other professional organizations. She has presented within the state of Florida on eating disorders, body image and substance abuse. Nicole is also a Qualified Supervisor for mental health interns. Nicole works with a treatment team of experienced dieticians, medical doctors and family therapists in the community to ensure the best care possible for every patient.

Greta Gleissner


Greta Gleissner is a New York based psychotherapist and author specializing in eating disorders. Greta's other specialties include substance abuse and addictions, mood disorders, and parent-child relationship issues. In her practice, Greta uses an eclectic approach, utilizing a combination of CBT, DBT, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic interventions. In recovery herself, her first book, Something Spectacular: The True Story of a Rockette's Battle with Bulimia is a raw, personal chronicle of the devastating effects bulimia exacts upon her personal and professional life during her time as a Radio City Rockette. Greta dedicates her life to the eating disorder field and uses her experience as a platform to help others, both personally and professionally.
In 2013, Greta Gleissner founded Eating Disorder Recovery Specialists (EDRS), the first nationwide, in home eating disorder recovery support program.  With Greta's vision and leadership, EDRS continues to expand with over 85 clinicians in more than 27 states.

Kenneth F. Kahn


Kenneth F. Kahn is the President of LRP Publications, a broad-based legal and professional publishing company specializing in the fields of K-12 education administration and technology, federal employment law, workers compensation and human resources. Launched in 1977, LRP Publications now employs more than 400 employees in its Florida, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. offices. 


Kahn has received numerous honors including Cornell University's Groat Alumni Award, Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce's Community Leader of the Year Award, and the Sun Sentinel Co.'s Excalibur Award. He is currently the Chairman of the Palm Beach County Education Commission and is civically involved on several boards including Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and Max Planck Florida Foundation. Kahn also serves on the executive committees of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, Economic Council of Palm Beach County and Kravis Center Corporate Partners, plus is an active member of the Florida Council of 100.


Kahn was born in Sioux City, Iowa and raised in New York City. Graduating from Cornell University with his Bachelor's degree in 1969, he obtained his law degree from Harvard Law School. Kahn has five children and currently resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida with his wife and two daughters.

Marti LaTour


Marti M. LaTour is a limited partner of BELLE Capital US, a women's angel fund that invests in women owned or run start-up companies. Marti La Tour has recently become a partner at ViaMar Health a behavioral center for eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Marti previously served as a Vice President Wealth Advisor at 
BMO Private Bank and as a Vice President and Financial Advisor at Bernstein Global Wealth Management. Marti carries Series 7 and 66 licenses. Prior to the financial 
industry, Marti worked for PepsiCo as one of six business-unit sales directors in the US responsible for net sales of $346 million, and directed 15 key account managers throughout the Southeast. Prior to that, she was Vice President of the Florida Division of PepsiAmericas, where she directed a 640-person sales operation and was a founding member of the firm's Diversity Advisory Council. Marti received both a BA in business and marketing (with high honors) and an MBA with a concentration in finance, business and marketing from Lewis University. 
Active in the community, Marti has been listed in Florida Trend magazine's "Must-Know Contacts" of Palm Beach County, and has served as a member of the Criminal Justice 
Commission of Palm Beach County, the Kravis Center corporate partner executive committee and Friends of the Kravis Center, Advisory Board for Cystic Fibrosis and the Board of Directors of Keep Florida Beautiful. She is currently on several boards throughout the county.  

Cherie Monarch


Cherie Monarch was born and raised in Florida. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a BSBA. She has been married for 29 years and has two amazing daughters. She has owned her own real estate business since 1987 and at one point had over 20 employees. She has been listed Who's Who in Tampa Bay for many years. Due to recent health issues, she was forced to significantly scale back her business. 
She has chaired and hosted many silent auctions and fundraising events throughout the Tampa Bay area, including three eating disorder walks. Cherie helped create and organize the Mothers and Other March on Capital Hill, a national eating disorder event and awareness campaign. Cherie also sits on the board for The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness. Cherie has lobbied for almost 7 years with the Alliance in Washington D.C. and Tallahassee, Florida. Her spare time is devoted to raising awareness of eating disorders. She mentors many families in the Tampa Bay area and throughout the United States. 

Alicia Paulino-Grisham, Esq. 


Alicia Paulino-Grisham is a founding partner of DI Law Group and concentrates her practice on representing claimants in private and group disability insurance claims, as well as life and long-term care insurance matters. Ms. Paulino-Grisham has extensive experience in aggressively fighting for the rights of her clients at all stages in their insurance claims, including pre-litigation claim resolution, state and federal litigation, and appellate practice. She has written numerous articles on both private and ERISA disability insurance claims. 


Ms. Paulino-Grisham has been featured on Good Morning America for her representation of clients in complex ERISA disability insurance matters, her successful work in obtaining life insurance benefits for a frustrated family, and again for championing an amendment to the federal statute, ERISA that will provide claimants with more protection and hold insurance companies accountable for egregious delay and denial tactics. She has also been interviewed by WPEC local news, the Palm Beach Post, and the Orlando Sentinel regarding disability insurance claims. Ms. Paulino-Grisham has been a guest speaker for numerous advocacy groups on the subject of insurance benefit claims and litigation, including the Eighth International Conference on Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. Alicia Paulino-Grisham is a member of the Florida Bar Association and is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Southern and Middle District Courts of Florida. She is a member of the South Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and a Board Member of the Lantana Chamber of Commerce.

Judy Rifkin 

Judy was born and raised in Birmingham, Michigan. At age 16, she was recruited to move to New York City, where she began her career as a professional ballerina at The American Ballet Theater. When her professional ballet career came to end, she returned to the Midwest where she married and raised two wonderful children, Josh and Rachel. While she raised her children in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Judy was thoroughly involved in community outreach and fundraising with town's synagogue, school system, and various parent-run organizations.


Judy became involved with The Alliance after her daughter; Rachel confessed her struggles with an eating disorder in college. After meeting Johanna, connecting her daughter with proper treatment, and seeing the recovery process; she learned how much she related to her daughter's struggles, and the genetic component of the eating disorder. Judy remained connected with The Alliance as Rachel maintained full recovery and interning with The Alliance. Judy now spends the majority of her time living in Jupiter, Florida with her husband, and continuing her passion in helping spread eating disorders awareness for The Alliance. 

Rebecca Seelig


Native Floridian Rebecca Seelig is owner of Palm Beach Public Relations (PBPR), a public relations firm located in West Palm Beach, Fla. PBPR works with local and national companies in promoting their businesses and/or products to media members across the world.


Ms. Seelig spent over nine years at The PGA of America in their communications department managing the promotion of PGA Professionals and communication of their major Championships which included the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. Ms. Seelig is a fifteen year sports industry veteran, who in addition to working with The PGA of America, worked with the Florida Marlins Baseball Club, Orange Bowl Committee and University of Florida Athletic Association.

Frank Valente

Frank Valente was born in New Jersey and has fond memories of growing up at the Jersey Shore.  He received a BA in Political Science from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania and returned to New Jersey after college to begin a career in sports journalism.  He was a sports writer and editor of a local newspaper and eventually moved to Florida where he was employed as a sports talk host and talk show producer for local radio stations in the West Palm Beach market. After moving back to New Jersey to pursue another career path, Frank joined a privately held marketing company in Princeton and that became a nationally recognized leader in direct marketing and data management. Since moving to Florida in 2000 Frank has been a leader in the animal welfare field and has served as CEO of the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast since 2007.  During this time the organization has set records in all areas of animal care and has consistently received the coveted 4 star rating from Charity Navigator for fiscal management and transparency.

Frank began his relationship with The Alliance for Eating Disorder Awareness in 2014 when he began attending family groups on Wednesday evenings.  After hearing the stories and being a part of his group members' journeys Frank became more involved in supporting the Alliance and committed to working toward community education and positive change for people and families who are affected by eating disorders.  Frank lives with his wife Julia and little dog Bella in Palm Beach Gardens.
