Bethany Cohen, MFA

Bethany earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics from Alfred University’s New York School of Ceramics. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree, also in Ceramics, from Florida Atlantic University, after which she chose to make Florida her permanent home. While attending FAU, in 2007, Bethany learned about The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness through her therapist, who initially required her to attend the support group for recovery from her eating disorder. After the first mandated group, however, she continued to attend regular support groups and began volunteering with The Alliance, both in the office and assisting with events and fundraisers. She has joined The Alliance on several trips to Washington D.C. for Lobby Day, helping to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for fair access to treatment. Bethany is the Administrative/Technology Assistant for The Alliance. She brings to that position a breadth of experience in office administration with a not-for-profit religious organization, FAU, and professional firms. When she is not at The Alliance, Bethany can be found either at work in her home-based ceramics studio or simply chilling with her menagerie of fur babies.
